Welcome to Read, Write, Live!

I’m Anabelle and I’m a reader. I read a lot. If I could spend my life reading and make a living out of it, I would. Paid by the word. I’d be rich!

But in the meantime, I pay the rent by teaching online writing courses for a major Canadian university and being a freelance writer and hopeful published novelist.

This blog contains my books reviews and other book-related content, plus the usual personal post, once in a while. I have a weakness for science-fiction and Victorian literature,  but I’ll read pretty much anything. Is there a word for “book omnivore”? Maybe I should invent it.

I’d love you to stick around and look at some of my book reviews. I also invite you to contact me if you would like me to read and review your book here, on GoodReads and on Amazon.

Looking for my old posts? Check out the Archives.

Need a writer? Check out my writer’s site.

I was recently featured on ProBlogger with an article about blog design.

When I’m not working on grading or writing, I enjoy playing around with my Apple toys and watching television shows like Dr. Who, Game of Thrones, Warehouse 13, True Blood, Being Human and many others.

You can reach me on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, PinterestLinkedIn, my About.me page or leave a comment on your favourite post.

You can also Contact Me to get in touch with me directly.

Great site anabelle, came via your Leaving Vancouver post. I like your writing and that you responded to almost every comment on that piece.

I saw you reviewed Cryptonomicon so I felt welcome (although I didn’t read the review) when I first visited.

Enjoy Victoria, I went to UVic and loved it. Just have to figure how to get out of vancouver!

Thanks for stopping by! You should read my review and tell me what you think :) And stick around for more book reviews, you can subscribe to my RSS feed or by email. I don’t spam! :)

I actually lived in Victoria for 2 years before I moved to Edmonton and then Vancouver. I like it for a few reasons, the main being that my partner lives and work here. I have a reason not to hate this place.

I think it’s important to respond to people… even when you get hundreds of comments :)
