So, NaNoWriMo is coming. In 2 days.
I’ve been saying I want to write a novel. I’ve been saying that for years, actually, but either there wasn’t time, or there weren’t ideas.
Although I may not actually have the time this year (but I could make it if I really wanted to), I have the idea. But isn’t the thought of pushing this novel through in a month scary?
I must admit I am absolutely terrified. It takes a lot of courage to be a writer, I think. Courage to spend a lot of time doing something that won’t necessarily bring a monetary reward. Courage to open yourself up to criticism, to the possibility that you’re not as good as you think… that you may never be good enough. Courage to take that chance at all.
So, here I am, procrastinating on my blog instead of making that decision. Maybe I need you, readers, to help me. Should I face the NaNoWriMo challenge?
